I think you could get him looking a bit foxy if you fiddled with the settings on his face, and then give his marking colours fox markings? Foxes have kind of big ears and smallish snouts/noses, so perhaps that would help? The fox girl I'm using still looks a bit foxy but I did my best to make her more wolfy with a bigger snout and smaller ears so you could try the opposite? :D
