This the painting Natasha and I did to replace Traders 1, which was lost in the mail. Actually I like this one better than the first. So, maybe it was all for the best:) 11x17 acrylic on illustration board.

Interesting that the wolf is a native species and the red fox was introduced from Europe, It really lends itself to the picture. Also nice to see a painting depicting mutual benefit and respect.
I hope the fox can trade something for the ceremonial mask from the Pacific Northwest.

Both of these pictures are very good.

Something I found interesting with both. The side with the trader always seems significantly lighter and much more colourful (the wares, and even the species selected)? I'm just wondering if this was a conscious thing or not?

It has more to do with who painted which side. In both cases I did the European side and Natasha the NA. I tend to use a brighter, more contrasy palette then she does. Thus the results:)

Wow, that wolf is pretty big compared to the vixen.

I really liked the cougar from the first pic, but the outfit the vixen is wearing here definately seems like an improvement.

I'd say pretty tall from the look of it I didn't paint that part, Natasha did so I have no idea.
