TheHotrodHero about The Lion Guard heading out into the Outlands in order to save a very close friend!
This was a really nice thing to make, as I do think Jasiri is one of the most cutest and coolest characters of the show.
The Lion Guard belongs to Disney.
When most days is often spent chasing away intruders, battling natural storms, or organizing everyone during Dry Season, it wasn't many times that the Lion Guard could have a chance to actually relax.
But today seemed to be one of those rare days, as the whole group was just lazily spending time by the water hole together. (With Kion and Fuli relaxing by the shore, Ono sitting at the edge of a branch, Beshte being almost submerged in the water, and Bunga resting on top of Besthe's big back.)
It was all very peaceful when Ono's eyes spotted some movements in the nearby grass, and when spotting a familiar type of spotted fur moving around it didn't take long for him to recognize just what animal that was.
"Hapana! Hyenas!" Ono yelled out as the other four quickly forgot about their own little vacation time, and got themselves ready for battle!
Just as Kion was ready to land out his legendary Roar the intruding Hyenas was coming out from the high grass, and they turned out to be not just any pack of Hyenas!
These was a special group of Hyenas living in the outlands that was known as "The Hyena Resistance", who unlike all the other Hyenas wasn't working under Janja and Scar.
Noticing immediately who was the leader figure of it Kion shouted out "Madoa!" in surprise, before then looking a bit worried and asking "But where is Jasiri? Isn't she the one that is usually leading this clan?"
The whole group of 12 Hyenas all seemed to be pretty lost on words when Kion asked that question, as finally Madoa spoke up and said "Things has been pretty...hard for us out in the Outlands lately."
"Ever since Scar got the news about our group existing he ordered ALL of his henchmen to keep and eye after us, and then 'take care of us' if they found us." Madoa said as she lowered her head and mumbled. "Even Janja and his pack was prepared to do as that awful Lion Ghost asked them to do."
"So that means you all had to make a run for it out of the Outlands?" Kion asked as Madoa nodded and said, "We all just came here after having been running for our lives!"
"B-But I still don't see Jasiri anywhere with you..." Kion said as it was pretty clear to him what had happen, but he just couldn't face the awful truth.
"We did get spotted by a few of those Jackals, and in order to not let them catch up with us Jasiri decided to stay behind and try fend them off." Madoa said as everyone in the Hyena group had a collective sigh over thinking back to it.
"N-No! I-It can't be...!" Kion was stuttering as his mind still couldn't comprehend the thought that his biggest crush could be...
"Just before we got out of sight from them we did see how Jasiri got dragged away by her tail, as she tried struggling to get free from the grip in their bite." Madoa explained as she added, "This means that she can still be alive right now as they take her back, but I don't know for how long they are planning on keeping like that."
Without even giving it a second thought Kion stomped one of his front paws hard into the ground as his eyes was having a fire of pure rage burning strongly into it as he said, "Don't worry! The Lion Guard is going to make sure that Jasiri will escape the Outlands!"
Janja and his friends was holding Jasiri captured in the Outlands, and it was now up to the Lion Guard to enter and make a rescue mission!
When arriving at the border leading to the Outlands Kion asked Ono to fly ahead, and try to scout the area for them.
Knowing that Scar very well had the Vultures onto his side Ono had to try and keep one eye on not getting spotted, while focusing on trying to figure out just where Jasiri was being held captive.
After some time the Egret bird came flying back to the rest of his friends, as Kion asked him "Did you managed to find Jasiri, Ono?"
"I did Kion, but..." Ono said before he seemed to have a hard time knowing what to say next.
"But what?" Kion asked as Ono told him and the group, "I saw Jasiri being held captured inside of a small cave which is placed very close to the lava vents, guarded by Janja's two lackeys, and had almost the whole opening blocked with boulders!"
"Looks like they really don't want her to escape." Bunga said, as Beshte asked concerned "Would we even be able to break her out from that?"
Even Kion had to admit that they where really trying to make it hard for them this time, but since it was all about Jasiri he knew he couldn't give up!
"It wont be easy, but we are going to do it!" Kion said as he and the rest started to plot for how they would strike later on.
As the sun was setting down most animals went to sleep, and that's when the Lion Guard decided to remain awake and ready for their infiltration into the Outlands.
Thanks to the number of guards dwelling a lot during nigh-time it left them with a lot more room to move between places, without the risk of them getting spotted.
Another thing they did was to have them split up into teams, as Kion & Fuli was able to move around a lot quicker, while Beshte & Bunga had fur colours that helped them camouflage against the now dark blue walls.
Ono continued on taking his own way above everyone else, as his own small size and quick speed made him very hard to spot by any Vultures that might be out watching.
After lots of hiding and sneaking the group was settled behind a cliff wall, from around the corner laid the sealed in cave holding Jasiri.
While Cheezi and Chungu would be super easy to defeat the Lion Guard knew that if they did attack the rest of the villains nearby would be coming for them, and then they wouldn't stand a chance!
"We need at least 5 minutes to talk with Jasiri. Think you can distract them Ono?" Kion asked as Ono nodded and took off.
Picking up a fairly large rock with his feet Ono flew over to another path from the cave that Cheezi and Chungu was guarding, before then letting the rock fall and smack loudly onto the ground.
Hearing the sound the two stupid Hyenas took off immediately (Thinking it was the sound of an intruder), leaving the Lion Guard some spare time to try and see how Jasiri was doing.
Running up to the blocked entrance they could see that a bunch of pretty big boulders had been placed on top of each other, making it even hard for someone like Beshte to move them.
Seeing a small opening on the top Kion climbed up, and as he was just about to look inside he was greeted by Jasiri's muzzle sticking out instead. (Leading to them almost kissing each other upon impact.)
"I knew you would be coming to save me, Kion." Jasiri said as she looked very pleased seeing Kion once more, as the Lion cub asked her if she was doing alright.
"Yeah. They didn't got to rough on me or anything." Jasiri said very calmly before then getting slightly nervous as she added, "But they told me that tomorrow would be my last day to live, so I got a bit worried when the sun was starting to set and you guys still hadn't showed up."
"We're sorry for taking so long, but I'll promise you that we will have you out in no time, and then we can just escape through the night!" Kion said as Ono spotted something from the sky and said, "Uhm, Kion...I think that wont be so easy."
"What do you mean Ono?" Kion asked as Ono came landing down, before explaining that "I spotted Kiburi and his Crocodile float starting to patrol the grounds!"
"What?!" Kion asked as he had the others quickly check all the exits, and they could all confirmed what he was fearing.
"There is Crocodiles and Hyenas everywhere now!" Beshte said.
"All exits are sealed!" Fuli added.
"I think we might be trapped here now." Bunga said a bit defeated.
What was suppose to have been a simple rescue mission had now turned into something a lot more harder, as the Lion Guard was pretty much stuck in the middle of all kinds nasty encounters.
Thinking that there was nothing left to do Jasiri decided to come assisting her struggling hero as she leaned in and told him, "There is not far from her an empty cave that you call can take shelter into."
"Really?" Kion asked as Jasiri nodded before then adding, "And I think that once you all got a chance to really sleep well you will be in a lot better shape to do your rescue mission!"
"Are you sure we should wait until tomorrow? It can be pretty risky!" Kion said as Jasiri insisted for them to go and hide instead.
"Trust me Kion. I have a plan." Jasiri said.
It was right then that they all heard the sound of Cheezi and Chungu coming back, and started to rush off as fast as possible!
Deciding to trust in Jasiri's words the Lion Guard group quickly took and headed towards the nearby abandon cave, as the two Hyena guards came back to stand outside of the one holding Jasiri.
"Hey, where you talking to someone while we were gone?" Chungu asked as very suspicious as Jasiri just casually said, "Maybe I just felt like talking to myself, since you two left?"
"But we have been here guarding you for HOURS! And never once did you ever want to talk with us?" Cheezi asked as Jasiri said back, "Perhaps I simply didn't want to talk to you two."
This caused both of the two let out loud sighs of defeat, as they went on guarding Jasiri as if nothing had happen while they had been gone.
Inside of the nearby cave the whole group tried to get comfy as well as they could, despite the small space. (With Beshte's big belly working as the perfect pillow for the rest of them to lay on top of, as the big guy was sleeping on his back.)
And as he was trying to also get some rest Kion couldn't help but worry about if they would actually be able to save Jasiri, but kept thinking about her telling him that she had a plan.
"I better hope you are right about this." Kion was thinking to himself as he too finally closed his eyes, and went into resting with the rest of his friends.
As a new morning was shinning over the Outlands Kion and the others was waking up, knowing full well that they wouldn't have much time left if they wanted to save Jasiri.
Peeking out from the cave Kion saw that both Cheezi and Chungu was no longer guarding the blocked off one holding Jasiri, so he quickly ran over to try talk to her.
Climbing up to the top of the pile Kion looking into the very small opening and asked, "Jasiri? Are you there?"
"Yes Kion. I am still here." He could heard the voice of Jasiri saying in the darkness, as he felt pretty relieved that she was still alive and well.
"Most of them is off for a morning meeting, but they still got Mizingo and his Vultures scouting the area!" Jasiri said warningly, as she then told them that "If you can get someone to distract them then I we can start on the plan that I have."
Understanding Kion rushed back to the rest of his friends hiding as he asked for Ono if he could be keeping the Vultures out of way for some time.
"Affirmative!" Ono said as he took off, and right on cue Mizingo and his flock of fellow Vultures happen to be flying by. (Making it a pretty lucky that Kion didn't get spotted earlier)
Upon seeing Ono in their field of sight Mizingo ordered for all of his friends to take on after the intruder.
"He's a part of the Lion Guard! We need to capture him, and bring him to Scar!" Mizingo shouted as dozen of Vultures all took off after the single Egret bird, who thanks to his much smaller size had no problems keeping a good distance from them as the chase went on all over the Outlands.
With the coast now clear the rest of the Lion Guard group came rushing over to Jasiri's sealed off cave, having still the challenge of trying to get all these boulders off from it.
Remembering Jasiri having said she had a plan before Kion took and asked "Did that plan also involve how to get you out of here?", to which Jasiri gave a light chuckle and said "Why, of course I would make sure to include that."
"Bunga! I need you to collect some of the lava running past here, and pour it over the boulder blocking the entrance." Jasiri said as the Honey Badger just said "You got it!", and without a second thought went onto the incredibly dangerous task of collecting some actual lava!
Upon standing right next to the moving pile did it first occur to Bunga that trying to carry some in his hands would most likely not work, and he figured he needed something else to contain it in.
Seeing some pretty hollow pieces of rocks Bunga got an idea, as he thought about trying to use one of them as a bowl to carry the lava!
Trying to be somewhat careful Bunga took and dived half of the bowl into the lava quickly, and managed to capture a pretty nice chunk of the super hot mass.
"Out of the way! Very, very, VERY, hot stuff coming through!" Bunga shouted as he had to try and balance himself walking up the unsteady rocks covering the cave of Jasiri, while making sure he did not spill any of the lava.
Once at the top Bunga asked for Jasiri to "Watch out now!" as he poured the stone bowl upside down, and had the small portion of lava running down over all the boulders.
"Okay, Beshte!" Jasiri was heard shouting. "Now after Bunga has been "softing" up the boulders a bit I want you to try and knock at them now!"
"Alright then, I will try my best." Beshte said as he lined himself up a bit, before then starting to charge towards the boulder wall.
"Twende kiboko!" Beshte shouted as he came running straight forward towards the boulder wall, before then at the last moment making a heavy side turn.
This caused his massive weight to shift with great force, as he let his big fat belly be working as a wrecking ball against the boulders!
"SMACK!!!"
With a massive impact like that the boulders ended up crumbling to pieces, as Jasiri was now finally free!
While Kion was naturally overjoyed to have Jasiri all free and well he also knew that it wasn't time just yet to celebrate, since they where all still way deep inside the territory of the Outlands.
"During night time it was much easier sneaking around without being spotted. Right now we will have a lot harder time hiding before being seen by some guard." Kion said slightly worried. "Plus without Ono to watch from above it will be a real maze of trenches to navigate through."
But once again Jasiri seemed to have a plan ready for this as she walked over and said, "Since I happen to have been living out here my whole life I know which path to take, and thanks to it still being very early in the morning the level of guards wont be that many to avoid."
Kion was truly amazed at how much this Hyena girl had been planning ahead, as she made for probably the greatest strategist he had ever seen.
"Alright then, would it be okay if we followed you then Jasiri?" Kion asked as Jasiri didn't hesitate one bit over taking on the role as "Temporary Leader" for the group.
"This way!" Jasiri said as they all took off as quickly as possible, while still making sure to slow down when getting close to corners.
Having Jasiri taking the lead helped a lot for the Lion Guard as she knew every single path like the back of her paws, and even when for a split second having someone seeing her when looking around the corner the other Hyenas would not have time recognizing it was her and just ignored it instead. (After all, why would the pay any attention to who they thought was just another Hyena?)
Keeping this up for 10 intense minutes the group finally spotted the main entrance leading back to the Pride Lands, and they all made a final run for it!
When setting their paws onto the familiar lands of the Lions they could all finally relax, as especially Jasiri was starting to feel a bit weak from not having eaten anything for a while.
Just then Ono also came to rejoin them, as he could report he kept the Vultures busy for so long they all ended up to tired to keep up with him.
It finally seemed to be over now, but Kion knew there was still one big challenge that was left for them to do.
"Talking to my father!"
While having let Jasiri's pack take temporary shelter and protection at Rafiki's tree, Kion knew that it would be a whole other thing to have his father agree to let all of them stay permanently.
Simba had told him many times the stories about how his uncle Scar while still alive had been taking over the Pridelands by force with the help of a giant Hyena pack, and how there was nothing but emptiness and death when he had returned to it.
It was pretty safe to say that Kion's dad would be more then a little reluctant into taking Jasiri and the rest into his kingdom, but they still had to try and convince him!
So after giving Jasiri a chance to get some water and reuniting with the rest of her pack, they all headed up towards Pride Rocks in order to try and explain it all to Simba.
Arriving up to the top Kion nervously asked his father "D-Dad? Do you have time to talk about something important?", as Simba was looking very relieved to see his son being alive and well.
"Kion! You have no idea how worried me and your mother was when you didn't come home last night." Simba said as he gave a big heavy "Dad Hug" to his son, as Kion tried to put the focus back to what he came for.
"There is a reason for why that happen, and it was cause...I needed to save someone." Kion said as Simba looked slightly confused and asked, "But who would that be? I never got any reports of any animals in Pridelands gone missing."
"Well, she isn't from the Pridelands." Kion said as he had Jasiri come in and join him, making his dad's eyes get noticeably bigger in surprise.
"So I take it that she is from the Outlands?" Simba asked (Clearly not wanting to make it to obvious that he wasn't fully trusting in the fact that she was a Hyena), as Kion looked a bit ashamed over his dad's judging looks and said "Yes. She would have been killed by order of Scar if she we hadn't saved her."
"SCAR wanted her gone you say?" Simba said surprised, given his own memory of his late uncle he would have never guessed he would want to get rid of a trusty Hyena minion.
"The truth of the manner is that if it hadn't been for Jasiri we would most likely have never escaped the Outlands. She was the one who had the plans for how to distract the guards, what path to take to get the safest route, and even told us how to do in order to free her!" Kion explained, as example after example made Simba more and more impressed.
This did make Simba agree that maybe there was more to Jasiri then he was giving her credit for, and maybe he should try to listen to his son more?
"If everything you say is truly true then I have this young Hyena girl to thank that I still have a son." Simba said as he then realized what he was saying and awkwardly asked, "What is your name, by the way?"
"Jasiri, Sir." Jasiri said as she tried her best to get down on one knee for the royalty she was standing in front of, making Simba feel a bit guilty over letting her think she needed to do it.
"Jasiri, I can't start to tell you how amazed I am hearing what such a young little Hyena was able to think out, and if all you wish for is to stay within my lands then I would gladly accept you." Simba said as both Kion and Jasiri got overjoyed by hearing that.
Outside the cave however some of the Hyena cubs also picked up what was being said in there, as they suddenly came rushing in wanting to thank Simba for (What they thought was) letting them ALL stay!
This turned things quickly a lot more awkward as Simba demanded to know just how many Hyenas was present in his kingdom, and which lead to Madoa and the rest getting to show themselves.
"You must understand dad, they all had to run!" Kion tried to explain to Simba, who didn't look mad at his son but just disappointed in his lying to him.
"Are you sure these are all the Hyenas that is wishing for asylum?" Simba asked as Kion said "Y-Yes...", before then lowering his head in fear over what his dad would say.
"Well, if you all truly wish to start a new life and live in peace with the rest of us, then I would be greatly honoured to let you all stay in the Pridelands." Simba said, making the whole pack of Hyenas jump and dance in great cheer, as they finally would be all safe!
Jasiri looked the most relieved of all, as Kion still had something very special planned later for her.
That very same evening a recently requested ceremony was taking place, as the whole Royal family along with Jasiri's clan was present to witness it.
Standing in the centre of it all was Jasiri herself, as she was about to be blessed by the Royal Mjuzi Rafiki, and his apprentice Makini.
The ritual started with Rafiki getting a good look examining the body of Jasiri, before then taking some red coloured dirt that Makini was carrying in a bowl and forming lines over the Hyena girl's face, until finally both of the two Mandrills started to do a chanting melody and wave and shake their staffs around her.
Once all that was done it was up to Kion as he walked up to Jasiri and said, "While I was chosen as the leader I haven't always had the best of ideas on how to solve situations. But you showed me in the Outlands that you are not only a reliable ally and trustworthy friend, but also can come up with the greatest of plans. So with that I want do "This" to you..."
Kion then placed his paw onto Jasiri's shoulder, and to much of her amazement she could see how she got the mark of a roaring Lion onto her fur!
"I hereby declare you Jasiri the Wisest, and the official 6th member of the Lion Guard!" Kion announced as everyone around them sheered, and Jasiri herself got a bit of a tear from her eye.
Nudging Fuli a bit Bunga said "I used to be know as "Bunga the Wise" once, but I think that title suits Jasiri just a bit better.", as Fuli just rolled her eyes over that comment.
Watching on Makini got super excited over having getting to witness an actual Lion Guard installation ceremony, as she then asked Rafiki a bit curiously, "Is this the first time ever where there has been 6 members of the Lion Guard?"
Rafiki in return just laughed as he said "Yes, it is! And I can assure you that the Lion Guard will never be the same again!"
