Blarg!!!! I lovelovelovemegaadore this!!! *she clings to the older canine woman* How did you do the hair? I've been trying to emulate that exact effect but I haven't got a tablet, and I haven't been able to find and download a photoshop brush that I thought looked anything like right! *gets her notepad* Tell ne exactly what you did! :P

Actually, the hair was easy. I have my line art layer on the top. Underneath that, I just colored it a base dark gray blue (never use solid blacks or grays). I then created a shadow layer on top of the black hair layer and darkened it up where I wanted the shadows. This is all using a regular hard brush. No special brush required!

I then locked my blackish hair layer and just used dodge to add the highlights and I smudged the highlights around a bit with the smudge brush. :)

That's it! :D No special brushes required! (dodge doesn't work well on a lot of colors, so be careful... you might need to just use a soft brush at a lower opacity with whatever color you want the highlights to be)
