Ahhh, I love using these beasties in my games! Ever since they appeared in the lost caverns of tsojcanth, they've been a fun stand in for dragons, haha. Using their dislike of dragons, appealing to their nature, or bribes and the like. Lots of potential with the intelligent monsters. They're such a fun design too~!
