Lovely picture. I need to start using more color I think I tend to favor Blues, Black, and Whites but they are my favorite. You know though I see a lot of clothing like that being sold at Renaissance and Medieval fairs. Can't sew maybe take a shot at buying from them, they are well made from what I have seen.

Well, all I can say is to each their own ;3 People do what they love most, and since I have a love of multiple colors (and usually very specific, but it may have been because I went thru my black phase in high school just a ted too long ;3 lol) I think I still have a lot to learn, I had asked one of the artists whose color skills I hold in very high regard if they had any tips for my and I was told to look into a Color Theory class... Well... since I'm a tad on the broke side to be looking at classes, I have been looking around for various books on the same subject ;3

Haha, then I need to go to YOUR ren faires!! @.@ I have not seen a SINGLE ren dealer use Any kind of actual multicolored iridescent fabric (and not just one with the same color, but lighter and darker or white or black) except http://www.mayfairemoon.com/ and that was because I commissioned a custom corset from her with my own personal fabric... the ONLY other dealers that I swoon for are Moresca, Reyen Design Studios/Silk Cloque and Gypsymoon (tho this last one doesn't attend any ren faires) but they are the most colorful designers I have managed to find in my years thus far.

I remember my school phases when younger. My mother always like the clean cut look, how I never fit to that. Guess now is my dark, gentlemen, mystic, unique phase but its fitting lol. I think even after years and years of practice there is always more to learn. I am just messing with digital and still am poor in a lot of areas but I can see the improvement as I am sure you can see in your own work overtime.

Yeah only went once really want to go back to it though, was a great time. Got a puzzle ring and leather gauntlets from the trip i say it was worth it. Seems you looked into a lot of places lol. If the shop I frequented was open be a place to go but sadly closed for the time being. They found anything and sold just as much variety.

Located in Ohio though at the moment there is no shop to speak of because they moved, using a flea market as a place for business for the time being But they are called Steele Dragon. http://www.steeledragon.com/index.html Though the site does not do it as much justice in what they all have fully and can order. Hope it helps though if anything worth a shot.
