They have a nice dynamic. Both of them are old enough and been through enough that they more or less just do whatever the Hell they want. Svanhilda is very fickle and guarded, and rarely keeps lovers around beyond fleeting interest or to spend the night with them, so she usually attracts a rougher sort. Arjat surprises her, though, because he is very classically romantic and she isn't so used to being treated that sweetly. So she's gotten to warm up to him, and turned sweet in turn. (Sometimes. She still bullies him and teases him for his paunchy belly, which she knows he's sensitive about.)

They have fun together. Writing for an older couple is really nice.
