Was this scanned or photographed? It seemed photographed to me and the sketchbook didn't look to be flat so I used a couple of distortion correction filters on it. Scanning as lineart might work better but I find it loses a lot of detail. I tried a similar filter and it basically ruined all the subtle lines.
