When me and
Leipzig were brainstorming ideas for my character Pippi, the Flour Powerhouse, I pumped out a LOT of little doodles to help develop her look and abilities. Here's a few of my favorites, with a little explanation for each.
1. Cold temperatures cause Pip's dough to become brittle, meaning her powers have little effect. She tends to stay indoors and leave the city undisturbed during harsh winter weather.
2. While relaxing at her cozy apartment, Pip tends to 'spread out' and adopts a more simplistic form to match her lack of effort.
3. Despite her title as a Generic City Supervillain, Pip is still a scientist first and foremost. Here she can be seen outgrowing her lab coat (and her lab) after testing some growth agents.
4. Buster and his superhero friends thwart one of Pip's dastardly schemes by reducing her to a much more 'manageable' size, containing her in a glass jar so that she can be safely transported to a supervillain rehabilitation facility (don't worry, she breaks out).
5. The initial transformation, where Pip is gobsmacked to see herself take on a more 'doughy' form.
6. Pip practicing her maniacal laugh as she rolls over and absorbs anything in her path.
7. With her yeasty form rising above the Generic City skyline, Pip loudly proclaims herself the ruler of the newly-created city-state of Pepperonia.
8. Pip does some at-home tech support work as a side gig. Hey, girl's gotta pay the rent somehow!
9. A massive Pip immobilizes Buster in an outstretched arm. Pip then unceremoniously flexes on the tiny weakling.
