After a long time of thinking about a good tribute to my most liked monster in MHW, i finally finished creating a deviant of Bazelgeuse (and making him my OC)...i think much to the worry of other hunters. XD
The coming expansion of MHW helped my inspiration~.
Many kudos for
for helping me work on the monster...watch her gallery, if you haven't done so already. ^^

I didn't come up with a name for his character yet, but a name for his deviant...as well as a "proper" bestiary inspired by MH wikis (also i wanted to get creative):
Frostscale Bazelgeuse
Species: Flying Wyvern
Size: 1869.10 - 2638.56
Found in: Cold, snowy biomes; cavenous systems
Enemy type:
Large Monster
Elements:
Ice
Ailments:
Iceblight
Poison
Bleeding
Weaknesses:
Fire (***)
Dragon (**)
Blast (**)
Resistances:
Ice (***)
Water (**)
Poison (***)
Physiology:
Most of his physiology notes are changes compared to the average Bazelgeuse.
Frostscale Bazelgeuse is a albino and a flying wyvern, larger in size then his nomadic relatives in the new world.
His gait has changed into a quadruped one, with a build which is more muscular in both frontlimbs and legs, with weakened flight muscles, using them at a far lesser extend.
Besides newly evolved wingclaws to help him in his terrain, Bazel's larger scales also changed into a more spikey appearance, mostly due to the layer of ice covering his frame, appearing thinner at the underside between his limbs and the inner portion of his limbs, making those spots the main focus.
Behavior, Habitat and Abilities:
As it spend most time on the ground then in the air, Frostscale's behavior also has gotten more ferocious and aggressive, instantly rushing to his focused prey and using his arsenal of natural weapons on his target.
Having evolved into this new habitat and climate, his ability to use fire has ceased, but his talent to dislodge his scales is still present, with the content inside those scales having changed.
Instead of the unstable, exploding scales everybody loves, this bazel now carries a poison inside them, the scales itself shattering into sharp pieces upon hitting a solid surface, even easier when enraged, causing bleed and leaving a poisonous cloud lingering at the impact area. The reproduction of those scales take longer, compared to his relatives.
He can coat himself in a dense layer of ice he seems to produce by releasing excessive heat through various glands in a mist-like fashion into his surroundings, instantly freezing and clinging to whatever surface, adding renewed protection to his sensitive scaled hide, while proving a exhausting and freezing bane to others.
Frostscale prefers hunting at nighttime or on cloudy days, dwells in caves and is rarely seen on clear days....something a hunter should be aware of.

I'm happy that you like it^^...i'm really happy on how he looks. It was a bit of a hassle to find a proper way to make this bazel believable, but i think raviollie and I did a good work at creating this new Bazelgeuse ^^
And Ice was the driving theme of inspiration. ^^
