While chimerae are typically created through magic as minions, or as a rare find in the wilds, some are created for nobles and wealthy people on demand as exotic pets or even rarer as mounts. Pet chimerae are pretty rare since they cost a small fortune to create as there are very few mages who would agree to creating one for such purpose since the process and results aren't always safe and that is besides the mage guilds enforcing strict rules on the creation of life forms. But ofcourse there are always some mages who don't mind breaking those rules for a hefty sum of money.

Brisca is such a chimera created to show off her owner's wealth, so she has always been well taken care of like a show dog with daily grooming sessions by appointed household servants. As such she has always been loyal and obedient to her master, though she can also be extremely jealous of other household pets or even female house guests if they get more ettention from her master. So in order to keep Brisca from lashing out her master had her given some dancing lessons to help entertain the guests and make Brisca feel like the center of attention. While this seems to have helped greatly Brisca has been known to still occasionally growl at pets or female guests whenever she thinks her master is out of earshot.
