to be honest its the base setting of my new phone's camera, i have alot of different choices but i just went with default before uploading :) thank you though gives me things to ponder on :) i'm quite proud of that scrollwork too i love putting it on marines *giggles* should add it more often XD

Honestly it looks good, but for me power swords are just a natural in blue hues over green I've always thought.

fair fair :) I just felt Green would be great here to give a contrast to his armour :) was kinda saving the blue for when i get the Dark Angel done *nods* but hey we will see.

Honestly. Given its blood angels you could have always gone with the red varient coloring using a deep red, light red and orange edge

hmmm i don't know if red power blade with red armour would be good. not much contrast but i could be wrong.

Think it would all depend how you highlighted or shaded it, a base mephiston red, maybe khorne red and then lighten it with an orange drybrush followed by a even brighter orange edge highlight before adding maybe scar white energy patterns over it might work.

But its really all based on personal preference I guess!

oh? do you want a simple trick to a do a basic one :) takes only 3 paints :) unless you are trying to do something like this?

Sure why not, hit me with it.

simplest effect i know to give a power weapon a way to be noticed as being one goes like this. 1. find where the power node on the field is for imperial weapons its the rod and bump on the blade, then paint it and a little bit out from it with Thousand sons blue base paint making sure to do it up as a circle. 2. paint within that circle with temple guard blue making sure there is a decent amount of the thousand sons blue still noticeable. and finally. 3. cover the node on the power weapon with white scar white to be the centre point of the power field and boom done :)

How many points of Blood Angels do you have?

to be honest, for exclusively blood angels. this guy :) i have the 1 model and whatever his points is worth. i do have the bits and pieces of what was once a flesh tearer army i enjoyed but only bits and pieces.
