I drew something like this elsewhere along a similar theme. It looks and feels similar. I may have uploaded this very art elsewhere but I do not remember anymore.
This is a representation of my mind visualizing passing, dying. I cannot know for sure, but something insists it is far beyond what I know to believe, and much farther beyond nearly everyone's notions of dying, beyond the characterizations and cultural stereotypes.
When I was a child I was afraid of thinking of dying. Now in only middle age, part of me cannot wait, because I carry ten lifetimes worth of grief, regrets, and loss, and people I have hurt and broken. Dying seems like a fair penalty for such regrets, knowing that I will pass to the Lord and be free of them hereafter.
...In uploading these scraps and recent arts, I have had a hard day, one filled with guilt and fighting, so it is why I am more somber. My world is a broken one, but I am still here.

Grief is a part of life that affects us all - obviously some more than others. In passing, we shed those things, and in that sense, this is a beautiful image. Remember too that in life, while we live it, there is always joy, hope and helping others in bearing their grief as well; those are beautiful things to hold on to until the inevitable time comes for us all. :)
