Shown in the FC artshow, and still looking for a home. This is matted on a larger board 9x12 I think, but the piece itself is 4x6. This is actually a ready to go tattoo design so if purchased I will allow this to be used as such by the single person, not to be duplicated (as in a tattoo artist adding this to their books for sale without my receiving compensation for each tattoo)
For sale at 15 USD. This piece is wall ready with hook an board, as well as a mount buffer of foam board to protect from the wall. Shipping is by location.

I have a few other crystal pieces here and there, I really love stones, gems, and raw materials. My great grandpa was a geologist so I inherited his collection, but my great grandma, and grandma made jewelry, so I sort of had some family passive growing up around 'em. You would think I would have been interested in it myself, but I am just not a very science focused person lol. My worst grades in college were math and science even if I found it interesting, I don't grok it in the way that people that make something out of it do so. XD I dug geometry because I could cheat though haha.
Stones are sort of a hippydippy thing around here, we even have a tiny little rock shop in historic downtown with smooth loose stones as the flooring. Totally a tourist trap, much cheaper to buy elsewhere, but its pretty cool and been around forever.

I'm a miner myself, and there are actually quite a few places to look for quartz crystals in your area.
-Not entirely surprising considering that quartz is the most common mineral on Earth. And since quartz is considered the mother of gold, pretty much anywhere where there is a quartz vein got the shit dug out of it in the goldrush, and many of the tailings piles of the gold mines have quartz crystals to be found to this day.

Yup. A goth favorite here is a graveyard, but you get yelled at for it because its historical. I love all the historical mining stuff in the area and the museums. I am sad people don't frequent them more, its so interesting. A buddy of mine just bought property to build his house near an active, and for sale mine. Most are not active, but at least around here its not so gold rush touristy like it is in Oregon where you can rent pans, and they have stakes along the rogue and other rivers so you can get in scary trouble just picking up river rocks =3= (Also love smooth flat or rounded river stones)
Totally agree. I love hanging out in the little graveyards and museums up there.
I know one guy up there who finds gold by sniping (Just looking) all the time. He's found plenty, including large nuggets, and his son found a cobble with a lot of gold in it a few years ago. It even ended up as a local news story, which caused a mini gold rush in the area. Of course he didn't tell them quite where he actually found it though... Heh heh.
There's still plenty of gold to be found in the area if one is so inclined, but to be good at that takes a lot of work. They say that only about ten percent of the gold anywhere in the U.S. has actually been found. I'm more into looking for crystals though.

I like mostly crystals and interesting patterned stones myself. Paul's uncle's new wife's daughter's husband mines out here (phew long short connection lol) Personally I am not huge on gold, it's okay, I just like other materials myself. I know that Paul sort of wants a gold ring and he was implying I should make it (as he really wants me to do something a bit more lucrative and ye' ol etsy wifey than fuzzy porn methinks LOL).
I have never messed with gold smithy, or much rings past coin rings or wrap, and then other material mold cast, but nothing fancy or all that good tbh. I am not really set up for that, I dropped out of jewelry some time ago, along with chainmail and leather work. Too many expensive hobbies lol.
I don't have enough gold to melt down anyways, I wear silver and surgical steel for earrings or my ears bleed with everything I hook in. The jewelry makers around here are not cheap or in our range. We walked into the main guys shop and moonwalked out. His bands were sorta old man ugly too, and had nothing delicate or frankly unique.

I like jewelry making. I've done some, but not in a long time. I liked doing lost wax stuff. Getting set up with the tools isn't terribly expensive, and depending on where you are there are shops you can get access to share..
Unfortunately, my stash of gold and silver stock as well as most of my cut stones and some other stuff was stolen a few years ago...

I don't have much of value, most of it is just neat heirloom I have no intent on pawning and a shop would have zero interest in it. I have a bit of tools and gear, just no space and hate artist collective spaces.. or sane time to take on more than art and sewing after all the household work too. XD
