I wanted to try a new commission type. Everyone, when they listen to music, has some sort of scene or emotion play through their heads. So why not give an artist some freedom to do just that?
In that spirit, I handed Valery a couple of tracks to choose from that I liked along with a few references of my nikitak.
The instructions were to draw whatever came to mind as long as it featured the character in some way. No WIPs for me. No input on my behalf. Just post whatever you have when it's ready.
The song she picked was On The Road by Y.V.E. 48. YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_N8K2PY5dc
I'm amazed at how much effort she put into this! I love the colors and from talking to her, she really worked on using a variety of references for the car! Based on a 1985 Nissan CUE-X, which I hadn't even heard about until she pointed it out (Looks like it's from the future of 2001). Also, me being a complete snob about manual shifting, I'm proud she picked a manual. BECAUSE WHY WOULD YOU EVER DRIVE AUTOMATIC?! (Especially if you're a multi-armed fuzzball like myself). And cassette tapes. Because how else can you be a hipstertak?

Yeah! Icarus' site shows you some fun facts 'bout nikitaks. Though I tend to be a bit smuttier, so abilities are never as advertised~: http://inhuman-comic.com/aboutnikitaks.php
