A late Christmas gift for

First time drawing a hippo, aaaay!
I know one of the characters he likes is Gloria so I figured I'd try my hand at drawing her since I've never drawn her before. I hope I made her look okay.
I was thinking about coloring this, but I ended up running out of time and I also didn't know how this would look when flat colored which was all I would have time for if anything. So I tried to add some more complex shading instead.

Thanks a bunch. I’ve been finding that I really enjoy drawing the way skin behaves, such as here, and the slight folding of leathery sling of reptilians.
I was worried that the face would be a challenge due to my lack of drawing hippos and that difference of muzzle shape as you mentioned. Thankfully, it wasn’t as difficult as I expected.
