This reminds me of a fable from Jean de La Fontaine.
In short it's about a crow perched in a tree with a cheese in it's beak.
A fox turns up, lured by the smell of the cheese.
It starts flattering the crow and then says that his voice must be just as beautiful as he looks.
The crow is unable to resist and starts to sing but drops the cheese.
The fox catches the cheese and gets to eat it, leaving the crow hungry and embarassed.
Moral of the story is : EAT YOUR CHEESE OR SOMEONE ELSE WILL EAT IT FOR YOU! 😉
