The knight of Rodenstein
German Myth I made a pic for. Incredible: A pic non- Kehno related hehe.
The myth tells about the Knight of Rodenstein, who lived in a castle in Hessia (Hessen), that he often appears mostly in mysterious sounds of battles or riding on his horse in the sky above his castle- before the start or end of a war. He was a wild knight who loves to spent his time fighting and hunting. This changed for some while after he eel in love and married a Lady. But after a argument with a neighbour he falls back into his hunger for violence. His pregnant wife, that clings to him and didnt want to let him go, was rudely pushed aside by him, so that she beared a still birth at the same day and she also died. While he was resting in front of his enemies castle, his dead wife appeared to him and casts a curse on him: He shall never rest and will have to tell the peoples about a start and end of a war.
It is said that the curse was fullfilled: Many testified to that they heard the troops of the knight of Rodenstein on August 10th 1914 around 6 pm, a few days before the first World war started and again was heard on December 15th 1917 between 11 am and 12 am to acknowledge that the war will be over soon. On both days the weather was sunny, cloudless and now rational reason found for the spooky sounds.

I know that story; Boy, I LOVE spooky stories.
My father told me that in 1943, his mother (logically my granny) went to the market in Feuchtwangen, a little, medieval town in Franken, near the "romantic road".
It was too in the middle of the day, and cloudy; rain started to fall.
Then she saw her brother, al uniformed and armed, marching over the street.
She shouted: "Johann, what are you doing here? Got you furloughed ?"
He was sent to the frontside, you have to know.
He just looked at her, incredible sadness in his eyes. Then he dissapeared.
Weeks later a letter was sent to granny: Her brother died in that very moment, in that very day...
Strange? For sure. Ridiculous? Maybe. But times were different in that area in Germany, even today they are.

germany is the place of where many of the best Wiccan originated from. (the practice, not the religeon) any cross roads, turn widershins, (conter clockwise) with you Zauberstab, (old german i read) to draw up a demon to do your bidding.
Except there is no way for these Shaman to know if the demon actually departed, hence the danger in doing it in the first place.
Crowley's method actually made sense, you make yourself 'look' like lucifer, then the demon is just doing something for his boss. It was the british government that asked crowley to do something for the war effort, so he caused the guy that was predicting so acurately each campaign that was executed to complete and total victory. that the top astrologer of you know who made a wrong prediction, operation Barbarosa so he was shot for it. Aliester Crowley did his part. from what i can gather, he sent a demon to give the guy wrong information.
thats a different kind of ghost story.
