My oh my, what a great digital painting! I really love the articulation in this piece, as well as the effects going on in it. Even though it's taken other artists months to get around to finishing my commissions, I'd like to tip my hat to WindSwirl for getting all this done in well under a week's time... And in case if you're wondering, the reason why the crucifixes shi normally has adorned are swords is because the artist tries to avoid ideological or religious symbolry due to the flame wars and other crap they cause. I was happy to compromise with some other awesome concept. :3

As for the scene itself, TTheDDoctor is a transphysical entity who manifests on worlds as solidified psionic energy, giving hir absolute control over the way shi presents hirself through the manipulation of this supernatural energy. Like force-lightning from Star Wars or warp-shock from Warhammer 40K, shi often chooses to manifest the energy that isn't being used to form hir body as powerful arcs of lightning. And with perfect control over this energy, it can be wielded in such a way as to affect things at the tiniest of fractals... The weakest of manifestations cannot physically affect things anymore than a stiff breeze can, but eventually shi gains the ability to push and pull things around, then engage in finer manipulation, before eventually being able to alter objects with surgical precision as hir manifestation magnifies in power. This power continues to sharpen, eventually manipulating objects on the molecular, atomic, subatomic, and quantum string level, until at last shi gains the ability to slice between dimensional planes on the next-lowest order. Three-dimensional cubes are extracted from four-dimensional hypercubes, and two-dimensional planes are sliced from three-dimensional cubes. This marks hir invasion into the next dimensional level, all the while subsuming the upper level with the power shi commands by this point in time.

So, how keenly shall these psionic arcs of energy pierce the fabric of space?
