LOL it happens, some animals are loners...
But you would be surprised! My friend adopted a "hopeless" rat from PetSmart -- no one could keep him, he was a grouch, and would cry when he was picked up, and apparently hated other rats. But after a few months of petting and coaxing, he finally got him into the same cage as his other rats...and they were INSTANT friends. xD

But just 4 weeks, it's easy when you know that you have THAT rat... And see some pics about him.
(HIM --> beacause I had a female rat, but she always wanted to move, and didn't want to sit to my shoulder, or sleep on me... But I heard that male rats are more slothful... I want ot learn with a rat sleeping on me )
