LMV Limousine design for Shalmendo
Done for an art trade with my friend
Shalmendo. This is the LMV, a bespoke ultra-executive limousine designed for his role as CEO of the (fictitious) LM Technologies corporation. The car allows him to travel in absolute comfort and luxury, providing state-of-the-art communications systems to enable maximum productivity while travelling and utilising a host of cutting-edge defensive technologies. The car can repel virtually any form of attack, allowing the occupants to escape or survive until a strike team can arrive for a rescue. This is made possible by a massively heavy-duty chassis, armoured body panels, ultra-fast deployable armour panels for the windows, a strategically-enabled autonomous driving AI, fully self-contained life support systems, nanotechnology-enhanced [REDACTED], autotracking turret-mounted [REDACTED] stored in the roof pods, grille-mounted fold-out [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and [REDACTED]. An onboard micro-fusion powerplant supplies energy to an electric drive system capable of [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. The vehicle also is equipped with [REDACTED], [REDACTED], [REDACTED], [REDACTED] and six cupholders.
Er, sorry about that. I think some of this stuff is still classified.
The design obviously draws heavily from Art Deco styling, which I've always been a huge fan of so it was a lot of fun to play with here. The Tucker Torpedo factored in quite heavily with some of the exterior bits. The interior amenities draw a lot of inspiration from modern offerings from Rolls Royce and Maybach.
The design process involved copious amounts of electro swing.

This is an extraordinary machine you've got here, if I must say! However, if you would not mind my curiosity, what are the dimensions of this limousine here? Which I can certainly tell by its appearance alone, that it is a rolling testament to monolithic and magnificent grandeur, which is to say that it is likely one colossal thing, especially considering that it was built for an individual whose own proportions are likewise rather huge.
It's definitely on the larger side, for all the reasons you state! We never worked out exact dimensions though. For one thing, I don't know the specifics of common road dimensions, highway codes, and vehicle type approvals in the world my friend has devised. ;) It's definitely going to be quite a beast though... at a guess, maybe having a footprint somewhere between a stretch limousine and a small bus, just with the profile of a sedan/saloon car...
Hmmm.... I believe I can give you my own take on how big this rolling palace could be, if you wouldn't mind! ^^;
Supposing the LMV bears a height of around 10 feet tall from the tyres until the top of the windscreen, or 120 Inches / 3048mm, Which is 2 1/2 feet taller than the 7'5 Shalmendo, since I presume that, considering his personality, his character, as well as the image he intends to establish, he'd want to ferry himself around in a grand machine bearing proportions exceeding those of his own, along with providing him an ample amount of room to accommodate his intimidating stature as well as his sheer wings, which I observed to bear a wingspan of equal or slightly greater proportions to that of his height. [And of course, what self-respecting omnipotent CEO like himself would wish to bear an unassuming silhouette, especially when going out on the motorway? When he could always make the most powerful man on Earth from a legal perspective look about as insignificant as a lowly corporate stooge, but I digress] Now, upon having adjusted the marker by which the LMV's height is measured to a horizontal position, [Which I used a painting application to make my approximate measurements of it, just to clarify] followed by positioning the first marker to parallel to the end of the rear bumper, and duplicating it until the markers reached the end of the front bumper, considering it took around almost 5 whole markers to measure the thing from bumper-bumper, it could be concluded that the LMV's total length is approximately a staggering 48 Feet, or 576 inches / 14630.4mm! And with the same principle applied with regards to measuring its width from side fender-side fender, the result was 14.8 Feet! Or 177.6 Inches / 4511.04mm. Making this beast of a Rolling Fortress here larger than the Standard Tour Bus as well as much wider than, well... Practically anything that could conceivably travel on any road! Which is mighty astonishing and impressive of such dimensions, if I may concede! Finally, having consolidated all these variables stated herewith, it can be concluded that the overall dimensions of the LMV would be;
[LENGTH]: 48 Feet
[WIDTH]: 14.8 Feet
[HEIGHT]: 10'7 Feet [7 Additional Inches Factoring in the Depth of the LMV's Equipment pods]
With such sheer measurements for such an impressively sheer vehicle, it's no wonder that its owner definitely knows how to establish a permanent image to whoever sees him for the first time! Likewise, I could also imagine that, with its sheer size, along with the many materials by which it is built, along with just how immensely armoured and equipped it would be, with its armour levels perhaps exceeding those of impressive machines such as the Presidential Beast or Mashall Stalin's ZIS-115, I imagine that its overall mass would be complementary to the LMV's own measurements!
To close this message here, please do forgive me if all this seems rather pretentious, since it is simply a product of my burning curiosity for details, and please be assured that these are just personal estimations which I conducted myself and are not intended to be finalised measurements for a vehicle of which you and
Shalmendo are the solitary owners, which thereby extends to the lore around which it was built. Cheerio!
