Malibu Sands is a bat pony coming from an unspecified coal mountain where her ivory coat and blonde mane and tail were markedly unique in her family. She didn't take well to mining, but proved a successful lifeguard in the subterranean pools and forest lakes of her home. She decided to pick up roots and try her luck around Equestria, an avid swimmer and lifeguard.
