So, I wake up to calm air, 28°F and a dusting on the ground -- instead of the 6"-1 yard they were threatening. Sheesh.
How cold is it?
It's SO cold that the local flasher is describing his genitals to innocent passers by.
And the office I drove to then was so poorly insulated we were wearing our coats inside.

But the talk about the weather reminded me of my time in Fairbanks, AK... when I was stationed at Eielson AFB. It was -70F in areas around Fairbanks... talk about true cold weather. This was in late January of 1989.
I'm in the Houston area now, it isn't anywhere close to those temperatures you're experiencing now.
