Oh boy, mahjong strategery

I watched a bunch of one of my favorite streamers playing mahjong in Yakuza Kiwami 2, which also goes by riichi rules. The situation Charge is in seems a tad more intense.

Of course, I wanted to dramatize things a bit. All he has now is hope for a simple tanyao or fanpai, and utilizing agari theory to stop either opponent from keeping the lead.

Have you ever seen Akagi? It's a mahjong anime that's pretty exciting, though the animation style is very hit-or-miss.

Also do you play riichi mahjong? The way you're talking about it you seem to at least know how to identify the basic ruleset.

I haven't seen Akagi or played riichi mahjong myself. My entire experience comes from the stream. There were a few chat regulars who played a lot, so that helped.

I want to get Kemono Mahjong, as that's supposed to be a good teaching tool and has anime furries as a nice bonus. Alas, I have no debit card at the moment :(

I can confirm Kemono Mahjong is good. The tutorial is thorough yet concise. Also, everyone has a strategy to go against, and you can choose who to go against if you want to try focusing on different aspects. I hope you get the $3 you need to buy it somehow!
