Yes, I know, I'm insane for basing a DPi off the Riley-Balls chassis. I mean, just look at those bastards at Mazda and the pace they have...oh, wait
Anyways, I have no idea what size engine this would even have. Probably whatever engine makes it into some Cerberus supercar, which would be like a needlessly tiny V10 or V12.
Are V12s even allowed in DPi? I know V10s are, but the engine technical regulations say. *IMSA Prototype derived (Cadillac, Mazda) or FIA GT3 based (Nismo, Acura). Technically, I'd be inclined to think something like the Aston Martin V12 could be legal, of it was short enough to fit.

I would not call you insane, but to put it mildly ambitious and willing to try and make a flawed basis work. It took nearly 3 years (to be fair, Joest had taken hold from Speedsource before the end of 2017 and 2018 was starting from square one, and it seems so far what's left are reliability issues, but they have the pace, BOP notwithstanding), but they may have a shot this year...who knows?
Far as if I had to even speculate as to how your take on this would play out, I would say it would all boil down to a few factors, up to an including how the whole team runs things, how all the drivers gel together, how the car can be setup, and more or less how everything in the car can work together.
If I recall, the max engine size would be what was the Caddy DPi (6.2 I think), but from 2018 that gone down to 5.5, and it being reportely a new engine (rather than what a number of people, myself included assumed was the old 5.5L DP gen 3 motor), which even that went through some issues before being sorted out.
That aside, it would probably be what could as you said, fit, along with the overall packaging.
I am a little familiar with the shape of both the riley/Multimatic and Madda DPi (since I drew both, the latter I FINALLY got to after who knows how long), and I can see bits of that with this car, which is a nice touch. it is distinct enough to look like it's own thing, but also showing it's Riley/Multimatic base. I think you did a good job.
and well, that's my rambling two cents.
I am looking forward to the Sebring 12 hours, it'll be interesting to say the least.
