Its ethereal mane, not yet the fully formed visage of its parents, twists and flickers across its back, already a dark blue for this yearling. Twitching its as-yet unarmoured snout, it gazes around with wide eyes at this vast, new experience - for the first time in its life, this Knightly is experiencing the waking world."

A few months ago, Someone's PC held a Create-your-own-Pokémon competition! We had a lot of good entries and some very unique ideas, but there could only be one winner - and this time around, it was
LusterUnicorn!
His vision of a Knightmare - a ghostly equine Pokémon that inhabits the world of dreams - really captured the imagination of the panel. As a prize, he asked me to draw the moment when a Knightly - the pre-evolved form - is shown the real, waking world, leaving the safety of dreams for the first time. I thought it was a great idea, and here's the result!
It was a lot of fun to do this one. Playing around the mane was cool, and hey, you guys should know by now that I'll take most any opportunity to draw space.
So congrats to Luster, and commiserations to the others - you all had some lovely ideas, and it was great reading about them! I look forward to just as good entries in our next competition~
