....and by "pretty" I don't mean the stereotypical sexually appealing pretty.
At least these guys have the decency to hide their hideous organic appearance. Though since they've been made to space travel, they're like sardines in a can. Seems like they never come out of their suits.
Bah. The camera on top looks too much like an eye. XD

Reminds me of Protoss Zealots, in that while there is a living being in there, the outside does not reflect this, being so utilitarian and purpose-driven. But less about OMGSPACEWAR and more about the real-life business of labor, exploration, and so on.
A working man's cyborg frame. A symbol f the undying strength of the proletariat etc.
I'm rather high on pain killers, ignore me.

It recalls to me a series of shitty science fiction novels I read, wherein condemned criminals are executed, but then given a second chance at life if they agree to join the military after their sentence... in the form of cyborgs. And cyborgs that are 'pretty' like your guy here - the form we first meet one in consists of basically a nervous system and the absolute minimum of organs necessary for survival in a tank, on wheels, completely encased in a machine with wheels, a camera eye, a speaker, and an arm for interacting with the world. This is what they wear off duty. On duty, they're plugged into a big combat chassis that is substantial enough that a very large human can use it as a mobile command post.
Always spacewar crap, geez. Science fiction iss really letting me down for examples of anything else.
There's also the AD Police Files story The Man Who Bit His Tongue, where a horribly mutilated police officer is put into a ig armored frame so he can keep on living and working.. it was more human-like than the one in this image, but alien enough that he became increasingly detached and isolated, and the only way to recall that he was alive at all involved him.. well, constantly biting his tongue, since it was the only part of him with any remaining sense of touch. Man, I need to watch that show again. AD Police Files was hard core.

Wooooooow. 8DDD Sounds quite inspiring.
Though yeah... eh... space... war...
War is such a depressing/boring subject to me so I'd rather just leave it alone but then there are still some things that will have something to do with military technology and stuff... Not even unu are spared of that shit. Argh.
Well, some other cyborg types I've thought about would probably look more, er, human (or as human as they can possibly look). Maybe have a clearly organic face and head but their limbs would still be mechanical. A degenerated species that relies on cybernetics. Yay.
