my grandma taught me to knit. havent done it in a long time (since long before I got my fingers cut off) but I picked it up again. I had to remake this several times because I kept messing it up. but this is my first knit hat in years. me and grandma make them for premature infants in the neonatal intensive care unit. basicly babies too small and born too early to even go home yet.. some dont make it. grandma makes special packs with a matching crochet blanket and a poem for the ones that dont. those come with a plastic baggie so the parrents can keep the hat and blanket as a memory. I cant bring myself to do those. but I may make blankets one day. if there is any interest (favs and comments) I may post more pics of my work and even tutorials on how to make them. grandma says you can just take them to the hospital to donate them if you are interested. I hope others get interested in this as it is kind of relaxing and goes to help kids who need it.
PS. can someone tell me how to rotate this pic? when I load the file it is right side up but FA decided to rotate it...

Wow, I had no idea you and your grandma knitted for early borns. That’s really sweet and kindhearted of her. And admirable from you, especially knowing your dominant hand relies on prosthetic digits. Every day I get to know more about you is another day that makes me happy and proud that I know you and cherish our friendship. Keep up the good work Nina! *kisses and hugs*
