PO2 Kai Ler Reporting for duty.

Kai was born on the coast of California, His nursery being the entire San Francisco Bay. His school of 20 others were the prize of the bay until a group of feral Greats got loose and ate all but Kai and his younger sister Kali around their fourth year. Two years later their air lungs finished developing and they were able to leave the bay and join the surface world, going to school while their parents, Choral and Destan worked with the National Marine Wildlife foundation tracking ferals off the coast to keep others from suffering a loss like theirs. Kali and Kai graduated from high-school and went their seperate ways, Kali traveling the world to study cooking, and Kai into the navy.
Kai joined the Navy in the SEAL program fresh out of Norwich University at the age of 19, his college years having flown by quickly and easily, his animalistic drive to make the most of his life pushing him hard. The basic training went by easily as well for him, despite a vicious tapeworm infection. His IST consisted of the SEAL Sniper course, Surreptitious Entry, Spec Ops Medic, Navy Spec Warfare Combat Fighting, Climbing/Rope Skills, Diving Supervisor/ Maintenance Repair. MSO (adv spec ops), Tech Surv Ops, Adv Driving Skills, UAV Operator, and High Threat Protection Sec. His large IST list delayed his unit level training by six months but made him an invaluable member of his unit and the USSOCOM and earning him the nickname Overlord. His service record nearly flawless, he spent four years with SEAL team 7 in Coronado, California and was in the consideration for joining the NSWDG before receiving an Honorable Medical Discharge at the rank of Petty Officer Second Class after a mission that damaged his left eye, rendering it nearly blind.
