Pen Case Flocking (commission part 2)
Commission update:
This is the inner tray for a fountain pen display case, fully glued and flocked.
Flocking is basically either shredded felt or velvet that is sprinkled over a very specialized adhesive. Its the same stuff that is in nice jewelry boxes. After it is fully set (which could take up to a week) it will be permanent and can even be vacuumed clean.
There are other parts to this that need installed but I'm intentionally not showing them for various reasons.
I started making the outer box but that won't get put together untill the flocking is set

Hmm, I wondered how they did this. I need to look into where I can buy the materials for flocking so I can make jewellery display boxes more easily - up till now I've cut and glued felt into the boxes which is extremely time consuming and doesn't always come out very well.
I don't know if they ship internationally but this is where I got mine from.
