Donovan is an inmate at a fairly small high-security institution, and as part of the intake process, inmates get assigned a number. This number is placed on the eartag they get fitted with, is written on their microchip (in the shoulder, over the shoulder blade), and as extra insurance, the last four digits get tattooed on the inside of the ear. Donovan's number is 0329-4720.
