Although I never played F7 I do have to agree that Sephy definately has the coolness factor.
I do admit to more of an attachment to Kefka from actually having played his game, but he is also just a very entertaining charcter.
Oh, and in the cetegory of minor villains, does Gilgamesh get a look-in?

Yeah, they screwed up not having him as the representative of FFV for Dissidia, EXEdeath is a bland villain and useless to fight with.
it's a testament to Gil's coolness that he's showed up multiple times since his first appearence as a henchman in FFV.
and seeing as Golbez, (who occupies a not dissimilar place in FFIV) was made the representative of Number 4 it's hard not to feel snubbed...
Gil better have a brilliant summon in Dissidia, (that I have not yet found) to make up for it...

Yeah, I actually saw a video of that earlier tonight, spooky coincidence.
And I really think he could have worked in dissidia, an all-out multi-blade wielding fighter... would have certainly been better than Exedeath's lumbering defensive skillset, and for that matter, I think he's just a better character...
But you should get Dissidia, it's a smash bros game for FF fans, with strong RPG influences, (equiptment and leveling) and a diverse genuinely different cast.
Sephy plays as a mostly melee fighter, but of course his reach is long enough that he's essentially midrange, a little tricky to master the timing of his style early on, but it pays off.
