The leaves of autumn blew lazily in the gust as it swept past the pale-red squirrel kit's face, making her inhale through her nostrils and sigh happily. "The breeze feels nice, doesn't it? It's as if the World-Song is willing to back your performance," Snowrose giggled in response, blushing as Kanrod was lying up against hir flank, making hir purr contentedly as he stroked along hir hind-legs and pillowed his head against hir lower belly, entranced by hir slow, relaxed, rhythmic breathing.
"It is! I hear it! I...feel...the melody." She closed her eyes and sniffled as she felt tears streaming down her cheeks.
"We're all ready for you, dear. Go right ahead," Snow replied with a warm smile as shi gestured to the rest of the family who was all equally relaxed and in attendance.
Yue'ki-i nodded before pressing her upper set of arms together and stretching her lower set behind her as if they were wings that she gently pushed down in a fluid motion. Suddenly, she inhaled sharply and slammed her right foot to the side before stepping towards that direction, obeying The World-Song's rhythm, and grunting as she would push off the ground and leap up in to the air with nigh-regal grace and form before landing and doing the splits, stretching two arms down behind her and two reaching upwards before her. She inhaled deeply before pulling one leg back towards her and slowly, fluidly, pulling her forward-facing arms towards her as if she was pulling herself up with an unseen string. She exhaled slowly with her graceful motions in rising up from the crunchy, leaf-laden ground, nature's bounty providing her with a melody that was ever-changing. She slowly pulled herself back further until she was balancing on one leg, her balance kept with her arms out at her sides while her tail hoisted high to keep a good counter-balance going. As soon as another sudden shift of wind billowed past her face, a proud smile crossed her muzzle as she'd grunt aloud, suddenly planting one paw in the ground, before twisting it on its axis and leaping gracefully in to the air once more, all in one swift motion; although UNLIKE last time, THIS time she twirled 3 consecutive times in mid-air before landing on one paw, allowing it to swivel on the ground as she regained her momentum and was now FACING her enthralled & intrigued crowd.
Star felt hir breath catch in hir throat as shi bore witness to the sheer majestic splendor that was an Oe'lynd-w child's dance; the emotional overflow from the 5-year-old alien squirrel kit almost made hir tear up as shi could feel the weight in her movements. Shi was more than happy to see a glimpse of the cultural side of Baea Primus' people blossom in their newly-adopted daughter's spiritual dance; it more than served in getting the sour taste of death & despair that plagued her people for over 30 years out of hir mouth, but it also served as a reminder to hir the painful burden she now carried with her...and yet...it seemed as if she was letting it go and embracing this new life. Shi wanted to speak, but shi couldn't form the words; shi felt too choked up to speak...that and it would just be plain rude to interrupt their young entertainer's heartfelt performance.
Finally, Yue'ki-i followed with the wind's movement, as if she had summoned it to blow her crowd away, before finally holding her lower arms out at her side, her upper arms bending upward in a 'hold-the-sun' pose, and balancing on one leg while the other was gently pressed up against it. It was then that she opened her mouth to speak, "I may not be able to express the depths of my gratitude in the form of words, but I hope that my dance will show you how much I appreciate you all for accepting me as a member of your family. Where one was lost, another was gained, and soon even that shall be lost and gained anew...so is the cycle of The World-Song."
Trr'alv grunted and nodded, smiling proudly as she tenderly stroked behind the sleeping Ish'va's (who had fallen asleep in her arms) ear, "From birth, to death, and from death birth...nothing truly ends. Such profound wisdom from someone so small."
Kanrod sniffled and wiped the tears away as he caved in to his urge to embrace their newfound daughter from beyond the stars, as he pressed his hand against the grass, curled his back forward, before finally rising to his feet with an audible grunt as he took not two steps before collapsing to his knees and wrapping his arms gently around her waist, mindful not to squish their teeny-weeny 3'2" tall daughter, sniffling as he cried tears of joy over her shoulder. "I love you, Yue'ki-i. You're home now; nothing can or will ever hurt you here. I promise." He sobbed.
Yue'ki-i couldn't hold back her own tears as she embraced her adopted father and nuzzled his cheek. "I love you, too, dad. Don't ever leave me," She whispered in to his ear with a lighthearted giggle, knowing full well he would never let go.
