Hiya, that's kind of you to say!
I'm always learning and wish I were better... but I guess I have some tips;
- When it comes to EQ'ing; scoop rather than add. Leave room in the mix for the instruments you need to stand out.
- Double up on guitars (and experiment with other intruments). The guitar in this track was super muddy, so I doubled it up without the amp, volume at 0, and just added a little volume to taste along side the amped/distorted guitar.
- Mastering. Mid/Side all the way! - I've move to a better setup but I showed my typical Mid/Side mastering setup here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/265.....#cid:127302870
