finally did some simplified designs of my OCs August and his dad so I could sketch them fast and practice color placement. traditional art is HELL but digital drawing is not for me, so I'll suffer through it.
they have the same orange eye color (and cute pink paw beans) but otherwise look pretty different, August with a calico fur pattern and Gustav (I'm not actually sure on that name yet lol but whatever, its fine for now) with tuxedo colors.

I understand what it is to draw by hand (All my drawings are handmade since I am terrible with digital, but it is always useful to know how to make retouching with the PC) and I love the design that you gave to your color versions.

August has 3-color calico fur, which is inherited by genetically-female kittens from their parents. 2 colors from the mother and 1 color from the father. so August inherited orange+white from his mother and dark-grey from his father.
