This is a partial commission for  Kitsymi as well as sort of a gift hybrid... thing?
Kit paid for their own character+a background for a speedpaint. We talked over making this a YCH at the time, but I honestly felt I'd rather just put friends of ours that we agreed on in the picture instead as a gift to them. This made it take a bit longer than expected(and got a bit more bigger/chaotic too) but was a super fun project! Most everyone featured in the image was aware of it pretty early on, so it was fun to get little quips and feedback from people. There were originally going to be worshippers/offerings in front of Boyash(the character in the throne), but the idea of a silly rescue mission seemed more fun. They kidnapped folks they deemed naughty, and it's up to us to help them out!

This totaled somewhere around 8-9 hours I think? This is supposed to be a "speedpaint" but it really just falls under a loose painting. I've been trying to find a style I like working with for less intense/detailed art. This is a step closer!
I painted it in greyscale and did the colors in about an hour and a half with an overlay layer and THEN merged it all to do little touchups/blend some things. I had seen other artists use a similar method before and I wanted to give it a go on a large scale picture.
