sorry
But that big guy looks like he's doing the "If you want him, you want me too."-move.
I wanna be a cameo thug!!
i'm assuming this take places in the UK or EU? some of the of the things that give it away for me is some of the cars more comely seen and used are mostly from European car manufacturers, and even the Ford Taunus TC on the cover was made and introduced by Ford Germany(from 1970 to 1982). so they would be seen as domestic and affordably even for the more luxurious cars. another key to this theory is that the police logo/badge on the building is mostly associated with UK police, as well as the most common american police cars were the Ford LTD Crown Victor, Chevrolet Caprice and the Plymouth Gran Fury. From what i can tail the cars blown up on page 2 are of some European design (or artistic chose). and granted the police brutality joke i could make is if was america "he would be leaving in zip lock baggies." thought i guess he would be Swedish then. (oh that's a bad one)
sorry if that sound like i was being an ass, its just things i have noticed. ^.^;;
Its sort of fanatsy set up, its a mix of USA and a 3rd world country. more Specific, sort of my country with all the thinks I like in america ^^
The police for example the uniforms and some of the cars are american.
The police logo in the entrance is the logo of the police where I live (Argentina)
The Taunus SP5 is my car, was a quite famous sport car in the 80s in Argentina. and I love to put them in my pics or comics ^^
thanks again for all that attention. I love when I make readers think =)
in short words I tend to put a lot of hollywood in my stories, I grow up with the 80s films, so its what I like to do ^^
That's understandable I can say I do the same with some things I think about and would love to create but lack the skill lol. Like I have this tendency to combine Raccoon City from Resident Evil with either the real City I live in or a city I have created in my own head. the kinds of combining will usually go down to using specific buildings from Raccoon City that are seeing in Resident Evil 2 and 3. Like the police station and clock tower down to miner things like the police officers uniforms, police vehicle pant jobs and the cars themselves. Granite I'd be lying if I said I didn't like the R.P.D. uniform hehe. I can see some of the things you like in America within what you have posted both in the comic and as well as in your other art.
True I can see that in the uniform I mean what kind of threw me off about the police uniform is the lack of a badge over the heart as that what i'm used to seeing were i live in the U.S. However I can't see the inspiration from American police uniforms Within your comic, and with the truck that get taken the fuck out at the beginning of the story look like it was a late 70s early 80s F-150 Ford pickup.
To be honest I didn't know that was your car, not a bad car and I could see why it would be a famous car as it looks like something you could make into a rally car. I might also have to go and look back at some of your other comics and pictures to see if I can see where you put in your car hehe.
Your welcome and thank you I like hunting for details in art and comics, it adds more in to the world.
I guess I can say putting a bit of Hollywood into comics and other media isn't such a bad thing, it help with the tone and were you want to go with it. I'm not going to lie I could probably say the same thing even though I may have grown up in the 90s with my family it was like growing up in both the 80s and the 90s the same time lol.
wow... i'm sorry for the wall of text ^.^;;
None of these cops have Ball's
Fight Scene, anyone?
I would have shot him and KEPT shooting him until I was out of bullets, even if he was already dead.
