Surprise Kiss

It all started during the month of February. Like with all grade schools, the holiday of Valentine’s Day was celebrated with a party and no work was done. To many of the boys, it meant fun, games, and sweets. The females on the other hand were a little more open about the idea of love but still liked what happened with what came with this. Alexis was fully aware of how Jack would react if she tried to kiss him, especially on a day like this and after they had talked last month. The little sea otter didn’t want the folfsky to end up hating her so she would respect his wishes. As it turned out she was the first at the Main Hall with her daddy dropping her off since the school day would happen here. “Now you have a good time today,” the father otter told his daughter.

“I will daddy,” she replied and the two hugged. She was wearing red and pink today with the necklace Jack had given her still be worn even now.

Alexis made her way over to the teacher in charge of her class. Five minutes later Jack came in with Nicholas and his little sister. The young male came over to his class and she noticed as usual he was just a cutie even now. This thought and feeling hadn’t changed from the first time Alexis had seen him during that summer. Of course being kids, nothing would come out of it. Suddenly one of her friends called the sea otter’s attention and distracted her for now. Meanwhile Jack as usual was talking with Daniel and Drake. “I don’t see why we have to do this at all,” the son of Bill and Shelly grumbled.

“I agree it’s mushy stuff love but we have food and fun!” the bear hybrid son of Bella and Larry stated with a grin.

“Yeah, come on, lighten up,” the folfsky said.

“I don’t see how you can with Alexis chasing after you,” Daniel shot back at Jack who went red.

“She’s not anything to me at all!” he growled. “Drop it!”

The boys were then called by the teacher and this conversation was forgotten for now. The party started on a fun note and it wasn’t just for the kids but their parents as well. Nicholas and his wife Rio, plus Alexis’s parents, remembered when they had shared this day together and made love with the females being in naughty outfits. Luckily for the folf and fosky they had their youngest kids at a different place elsewhere and doing just that as were the otter parents. But then a pause happened during the party and it found Jack and Alexis sitting at a table. “Hey thanks by the way,” he said to her.

“For what?” she asked.

“You know… not kissing me…”

“Oh, I wouldn’t,” the sea otter replied with a smile. “After how you reacted before… I don’t want to make you mad…”

“Alexis… I can’t be made at you,” the young male said. “We’re friends.”

She looked up to him with a smile. “Really?” the female asked with hope. “Really, really?”

“Yeah. You’re one of my best friends even…”

“Thanks!” Alexis replied with a big grin. “You are to me as well!” For now she didn’t have any thoughts of it being more due to being a little female even if she did like Jack. What she felt for the folfsky was more the kind of crush and love a kid might have for another their age or other person. Jack of course just only saw her as a friend and didn’t feel that way as most males that age didn’t. It wasn’t like teens or adults were actual crushes and falling in love happened with someone.

“I’m going to get some more juice, you want any?” the male asked.

“Sure,” she replied. They got up from their seats.

“Hey watch it!” another voice stated. It was another kid in the class and he wasn’t watching where he was going as his friend was trying to tell him. The person elbowed Jack in the back. The male went forward with his arms out and right on target, his lips got Alexis on the cheek. Her eyes went wide with shock as did his. Daniel and Drake saw this as well and their mouths fell open in shock to. The kid who had run into Jack apologized but he and the sea otter didn’t hear him as they stood their frozen, now blushing. His lips were still on her cheek in the kiss but then realizing this, the folfsky quickly pulled back.

“D-don’t think this means anything!” Jack stated remembering how Alexis said he would be kissing himself one day and embarrassed that her words had come true. “It was an accident!”

The little sea otter just nodded and closed her eyes with a huge smile, touching the spot. Her thoughts about Jack increased even more with that. “So you were saying earlier?” Daniel asked with a grin.

“Sh-shut up…” Jack mumbled angrily.

The day came to an end and Alexis’s dad picked up his daughter who was just besides herself with happiness. “What’s got my little sea flower so happy?” the father otter asked.

“I got a kiss from Jack on the cheek!” she declared.

“Uh…. Okay? Maybe you’re a little too young for that I think…”

“No, I’m old enough daddy!”

“Well just as long as you don’t think of him as a boyfriend,” he said. “I mean I think he’s a good kid and nice for you to be around him but you’re too young for that.”

“Don’t worry daddy,” Alexis replied and gave him a reassuring smile. “I don’t see him as that, only a friend. But I still like him; he’s a cutie.”

The older otter chuckled and picked her up, giving his daughter a nose rub, causing her to giggle. “Well just know that if you do get old enough and want to have him as a boyfriend, I’ll allow it,” the father otter said. “I think he’d be good for you when he gets older and stays this nice.”

“You mean it daddy?”

“Of course my little sea flower. One day you’re going to grow up and fall in love. I came to terms with that the day you stopped calling your mom momma.” He wasn’t the kind of dad where it killed him that his little girl couldn’t stay little forever. She would grow up. So right now the male made the most of the time he had while she was little before Alexis grew into a teenager then an adult, as well as beautiful like her mother.

“When will it happen?” Alexis asked.

“You mean getting a boyfriend?” he replied. “Well… it’s whenever you get into males and they do the same with you. I don’t know when Jack will since every person is different.”

“Okay then. I won’t worry about it then until then.” The father and daughter then continued their journey home. Her mother was told about this and thought it was very cute.

Meanwhile Jack was with Nicholas and his little sister heading back. “You seem quiet,” Nicholas told him.

“I was pushed into Alexis and kissed her…” the little male grumbled.

“Oh, is that what’s bothering you? How did it happen?” Jack told him. “Well it was just an accident. Don’t think too much of it Jack. Just let it go and enjoy yourself. One moment like that is nothing compared to the other memories and stuff you’ll do in live.”

“Yeah, I guess I shouldn’t,” his son replied. Jack really did and Alexis acted normal around him the next day. Even Drake and Daniel didn’t bring it up. Rio was told of what happened and giggled as she also thought it was very cute as well. But nothing else happened the rest of the month. But still Jack found himself thinking back on it a little as did Alexis. It was like the first time they met as this would stick with them for the rest of their lives. Now there was the next month to look forward to and what it would bring.
