hahah….I seriously dont know why i did this
>>♦THE ARTWORK
>Type : Painting
Title: Aldo Raine
or (I wish i could paint like Dan Luvisi)
>Duration
♦ Run time: About 6:30 hours
♦ Two day session
>Inspiration Sources:
♦ Inglourious Basterds Movie
♦ Some Dan Luvisi painting of Tony The Tiger.
> about the technique
♦ Basic brush.
♦ Lots of brush strokes.
♦Selection fill
♦Color Grading.
Well i just used photo references and mixed them together in my mind.
Still I wouldn't call this impressive because its not from pure imagination
You just train your eye to copy well, and that's it.
There's little to no thinking resolving lighting and perspective, it's all resolved.
You just act like a copycat, but with an original remix.
> about the species
I really though that he should have been a dog.
But tigers can fake mustaches with their black lines on their snout
So went for tiger.
At least until i find a way to fake a mustache on a dog.
Still the result i think wasn't that good.
Grade of mixing
18.5% animal
81.5% human
Just assuming....
>♦STORY
I saw this on my sketchbook and went for it.
The character is from the movie, so if you have seen the movie
You know the story of the character
>♦GRIPE
“We just wanted to say we're a big fan of your work.
... I think you show great talent. And I pride myself on having an eye for that kind of talent.
But your status is still amateur.
We all come here to see if you wanna go pro.”
I changed the quote a bit, but still, that quote from the movie got stuck in my head.
>♦CRITIQUE
This definitely not Dan Luvisi quality art, not as cool or original as his.
But their is certain uniqueness to it.
>Recommendations
Umm.. find more originality, don't get stuck on being a copycat.
And also, train harder, practice harder, study harder.
And then you might go pro.
But not yet, not yet.
