Ling is English. That's literally the only reason I did this.

Ookok- so I'm still just unsure of what I wanna do with Ling as a character, (and her sister Roku by extention) like whether I wanna have her be a Superhero, an excorcist shrine maiden whatever. Ok Shrine Maiden is definate must but apart from that...

One thing I've always got in mind but haven't really made apparent is that she's British-Japanese, and like me (except I'm British-Filipino) she's grown up in England with next to no idea of what it's like in Japan. Mainly so that I could write about her in settings and culture and I know about first hand rather than hope to get all the details about a country I've yet to visit. From that I've pondered maybe that she deals with English apparitions and specters with the tools and practices of Shinto faith passed down from her mother. and quickly realise I know very little about England's folklore but this is something I think I'm in a better position to research.
