Story time:

Alyta was sent on an assignment to examine the demonic energy of the dark spirit world. This world was full of despair, rage, lost souls that never found peace. The activity of this energy has been growing over the many years. The Shrine Priestess of the Kitsune Clan was curious to know how this energy spike was suddenly increasing in the more recent years...

The screams and cry of the malevolent spirits were closing in on Alyta and her partner Void. Their desperate and primal rage reaching out, trying to grasp at the the kitsune warrior's soul. She tried to make her flee to the old shrine portal that connected the dark spirit world and to the world of the living.
Alyta would glance back at the dark spirits behind her, teeth clenched as she looked up ahead.
She would speak in a soft, but quiet manner, "I never knew how ferocious these spirits could be...The Shrine Priestess will want to know about this."
Void, her binding spirit partner would be by her side, emitting his own demonic energy outward in attempts to repeal the other spirits that made chase.
He was unlike normal demonic spirits though, his spirit was neither that of good nor evil. He was of spirits that roam the world of the living, those who lost their memory. Those spirits can be contracted into becoming partners with a living being.

"That is what spirits look like when they've reached a tragic death in their previous life. Those who died caused by murder, hate, war, famine, and much more. They were not put to rest in this old shine by the previous Shrine Priestess, so they're eternally doomed in this world. Their malevolence is too strong for our Shrine Priestess to put them to rest. Not until their anger is answered for, or they feel satisfied with justice," Void said with a hint of grim to his voice. Knowing he too could've ended up as them if it had not been for his binding contract to Alyta.

Also sorry if my grammar/English story telling was rough, been a long time since I had to write a story. May start it up since I have this story board in my head that's been going on for a while. It's constantly growing too whenever I get a new character that matches the story line.
