Decided likely gonna get the order mixed up, plus was a request, so here is Bartolomeo from One Piece met in the Dressrosa Arc.

Bartolomeo was a very interesting character. From his personality flip from when he was first introduced to how he acted after meeting the Straw Hats. Also I remember doing a double take when I saw him in the anime when I noticed his hair was green. I really wasn't expecting that.
Also I know it's speculation, but I don't think him crossing his fingers is a requirement for activating his ability. I think it's a focus thing. Notice how different devil fruit users have a stance they use when activating their power? Like Robin crossing her arms lightly. I think it helps them focus, but isn't the actual thing needed.

Yeah, same here...I was sure was gonna be an antagonist for the Colosseum tournament...then went all fanboy over Luffy and the crew.
Well..as for the fingers, I do know his fingers were always crossed...and even with the main battle, think when was hanging from those flying things (He was with Robin and Rebecca) Gladius I believe was gonna do an attack, Robin asked if Bartolomeo could make a barrier, he saiud he can't cause he needed to cross his fingers, and cause was hanging onto those flying bugs, he couldnt cross them. Think the least was he qwas able to make a barrier on his fist, with only one finger crossed, think on the other hand.

Well...thought I'd look it up on YouTube, just to be sure I was remembering right myself...I mean it was last year I think I saw it I think. Turns out found it on first try, wasnt sure what to search for, since only thing can remember was he was in the air with Robin and Rebecca. hanging from those little people and flyting bugs.....I totally forgot Zoro and Pica were involved in that scene as well.

Oh, was wondering if you saw it or not :) Nah, not a big deal...isn't like the Mega Man Robot master, which need to finish, there is way more DF users, and on thinking, likely would have gotten the order wrong at one point...so figure, if there was users people would like to see, I can try to slip them in...Bartolomeo was tricky too...those pants took many, many tries to get it to look at least decent :) Trebol is also a challenge to get him to match the same chibi style...but is a doodle now, so when inking the lines, can adjust accordingly.
I feel like Bartolomeo was created as a representation of the One Piece fandom even his devil fruit powers are more of defensive to deflect and block attacks.
And I do think if he could train on using his powers, he could truly be a formidable foe that could even protect him from logia attacks.
