How to bypass tl;dr-ness? Basically, the graphic novel containing Issues 1 - 5 of i.s.o. ( http://www.cwcomics.com/iso/index.html ) is on schedule for a Further Confusion 2010 release. I'll have more details on this in January.
It contains a full-length 32-page bonus story NOT related to the main storyline, co-authored by one of my fanfic writer friends from my Class Mengerie days, who created the infamous and lengthy "Laziness Shall Not Be Tolerated" fanfic, aka LSNBT ( http://egotistical.spacing-guild.ne...../laziness.html ).
The bonus story is essentially a sequel to the Mascot-Match storyline ( http://www.theclassm.com/d/20030929.html ) starring Cody and some LSNBT characters, plus a couple new originals. There's a lot of martial arts action and video game (fighting and other wise) references, so if you're looking for Cody to do something besides fret about his orientation, this is it

At any rate, since the story is a standalone, I made a separate very limited-edition printing run, including a full cover for it. This comic will NOT be for sale. So here's the main part of the cover, basically showing a video game fighter select screen (mainly influenced by King of Fighters, the inspiration for LSNBT). As a bonus, since the character art was shrunk down and edited for the grid, I included the original art on the borders. FWIW, since the character grid needed to be padded out more, additional Class Menagerie and LSNBT characters not actually IN this comic have been drawn here, and slightly updated since their designs are over ten years old at this point ;-p

I don't often mix Photoshop FX with marker coloring, but I think I managed to make this work. I'm getting the hang of layers and stuff.

Lastly...so not all of these characters are mine. But anyone note the irony that there's more short-haired girls than guys? It's a first for me, I think XD
