In the brighter days of intergalactic expansion, Humans and Furs working together seeded a number of distant worlds with terraforming technology. When political and cultural infighting began dragging established space into a sort of dark age, the boundaries contracted and many of these unfinished sites went forgotten. But one, designated Planet Dirt, has been rediscovered. It has become home to waves of Furs fleeing oppression under the hands of Human extremists. Including two Ferret siblings, Eskoo and Keesha Tovis. As they come of age on their new home, they will choose what roles they will have there. One will seek to help it thrive, and the other to protect it.

This series started off as a Thursday Prompt flash-fiction by  yelleena, who graciously allowed me to expand the concept.
