Despite being blind, Leonard has gotten good at doing lots of things that would in theory require sight. He can't use computers without text-to-speech, nor has he been able to watch a single movie like, ever. But his brain focus on more important things now that it doesn't have to devote a portion to sight. Poor Farin learned this the hard way with his grandpa completely dominating the big boy down to just his king! Farin took his queen and 5 pawns, but the rest took care of him properly!

Like with Solluna, finally I got a proper pic of Leonard in his current days and not the flashback young version of him! In fact, the ONLY other pic like that, I wasn't very happy with how that turned out... on the right side. Left side I loved with Red and Orchid, hell it was the start of Red's current appearance, but the left side had Leonard and Farin... leonard looked a bit meh and Farin I hated the face so much. But I forgot to tell the artist this, assuming they'd fix it as they drew... was also in my first year of comming, so I wasn't that confident in fixes. In case you forgot or wonder how and why Leonard's blind, it's part of Farin's backstory. Long amount of text below!

After the events that resulted in the first world's destruction, Red was the only survivor along with Kosumo, who let him decide on what to do with his family; Red chose to let him be reunited with his family in the next world. Kosumo however said he'd have to find them all on his own all over, with Farin being the next child to be born. He found Orchid swiftly and not long after Farin was reborn.

Around Farin's 17th birthday, he was approached by Roxanne, whom planted the seed that would lead the young Quilava to run away and train under her to become strong, so he could fulfill his wish of being able to protect his parents like they had protected him. A year later that exact thing occurred, and Farin was put under heavy training... but after some time he started to get a bit lonely without some casual social interaction, and so Roxanne gave him a slave to look after. Farin made it clear that while he did care about his slave, said slave was still below him in terms of status and their relationship was more that of a master/servant, which is why Farin didn't get to learn his slave's name. One evening, Farin told his slave to give his back a rub, and reminded him to be gentle around the flame vents. As the slave worked his vents, Farin had fallen asleep, and too much pressure on one circle made him shoot out some fire from there... right into his slave's eyes! Farin immedietly woke up and tried to soothe his servant, but the damage was already done, he had lost his sight.

A few years later, Farin was near the end of his training, and Roxanne ordered him to attack his own hometown... he met Red who was confused at what had happened, and angry at Farin for suddenly going off like that and even serving Roxanne! For the record, back then it was not a very good thing to be working with Roxanne. Red accused Farin of having been turning evil, but Farin tried to calm him down by showing him his slave whom he had done his best to take good care of. Red stared at the slave with immense shock. He could only let out one word: 'Dad?' Red went into a complete rampage seeing what had happened to his dad, and it took the goddesses to bring him down to a calmer state! Farin was taken back for more training, and Red's dad Leonard was taken into his home where he got to learn how to live with his condition.

Fast forward, and Farin through the combined powers of the twin goddesses was struck down following his little rebellion towards Roxanne, and Farin was taken in to Red and Orchid's home once more. Farin then got to meet Leonard again, whom he felt guilty beyond words towards having had his own grandpa not only kept as a slave, but also permanently made blind! But through time, the two slowly but surely let go of those days and are now closer than ever
