Tried adding a little more detail to this piece to see how i'd like it, and honestly? I love it but It feels like a little too much for the style i'm going for.
I'm so proud of how much better i'm getting with backgrounds though (mostly ones with grass :'>)
I'll do more of these sometime this February, but with more winter-y themes!

I think it looks nice, it's subtle and soft looking vs. the more contrasting hard edges of the character. Serves nicely to make the character pop & be the center of attention. The lighting and shadow is really nice too, makes it look really warm out there on that ledge in the sunny sun :}
