My next picture, WIP
Here, have a slice of narcissism. I try not to flood people with nothing but drawings of myself, but I have to admit Gen is fun to draw. I've always loved playing with long hair (which I have in RL) and contrasts of black and white (which I really don't have.)
Plus, despite my eagerness to play in digital art, my love is still in traditional media. I really love playing with colored pencils and layering them and blending them and feathering them to get the gentle shading I want. And I love playing with gelpens to get neat looking colored lines. It's a triple dog annoyance to do since I have to drag out the light table and very carefully transfer my sketch to a sheet of bristol, but the end result is so nice I rarely mind.
Once I finish the picture this will go into scraps. But I wanted to share :)

The groupe of women which sing "celtic woman" are just awsome, the music helps when i got a migrin *rummages around youtube* I made a playlist of alot of celtic and irish songs http://www.youtube.com/view_play_li.....8C08866B998897 theres bound to be a fare couple ya like in it ^^
Some of the linework looks a little weird because the inks are metallic and those don't scan too well. Plus gelpens are ball points so they're persnickety and cloggy, but sometimes I just have to pull them out and do a picture or two with them to remind myself that the extra fuss is worth it.

Gen, I really like your style. You're one of the few furry artists out there who are very talented and yet still down-to-earth and approachable. You draw every-day scenes with every-day types of characters, and you don't get into porn or anywhere near it. You're not afraid to open yourself up for viewers to examine the joys and frustrations of your life, and you still do it with a light-hearted, funny style that keeps this viewer coming back.
