You are right, these two aren't the species we call "human". However, the word "human" is also an adjective that describes characteristics of people, and these two, in the context of the fantasy comic they exist in, are people. Angels and Demons don't exist in the real world (depending on who you ask, of course), but these two and their friends and family all act human even if they aren't literally humans.
Anyway, trans rights are the rights of people. And Buwaro and Kieri support the rights of trans people.

I dislike the use of "human" as a synonym for "person", but I guess there isn't really a good adjective form for "person" that fits in this case. It still feels awkward to see it used within such close proximity of non-human sapient characters.
In a strictly real-life context, I completely agree, just to be clear. Trans rights are human rights.
I just don't feel the word choice is quite fitting in a fantasy setting with non-human people...

Aren't the two of them some kind of molded energy beings? I mean, they have a physical component to their makeup, but given the transformations both of them have gone through, which includes not only altering their volume but also mass into other species, would they even have genders as we know them? Heck, they have Elemental Beings in their species subset, which implies a lot of things about their very makeup. Not saying they wouldn't, BTW, the angel is very much a paragon of her kind, and the demon is one of the most innocent creatures on his plane, but still.
