Unfortunately while gluing the box together the gap holding the glass was too tight and a corner cracked as a result. After talking with the commissioner about possible solutions we agreed the glass needed to come out. So taking the advice of my nephew, I hit it with a hammer! Lol
I then spent about an hour with said hammer and a small flathead screw driver chiseling out the remainder from the grooves. After that was done I lined up my table saw and cut the top off the box
