What is the scene about? Is his arm suppose to be see through like that?

Without giving any vital details away (the story leading up to this scene is explained later), the Coyote has just escaped the facility he and scores of other Hybrids were born and raised in. The story is set in present-day Colorado. Humans are the dominant species, and just like the real world, we've been sitting on that pedestal for the last few million years. Sebastian's escape, as a result, poses a critical risk to the organization behind his creation. The "why" and "how" I'll leave up to you, if you choose to read it (I hope you do!).

As for his arm, I just noticed that as well. It'll poke Sapph about it after work today. Just looks like the opacity isn't at 100%, or whatever you might call it in that fancy PhotoShop program. I don't know much about artwork, I'm a writer. :P

OH, I was thinking he was like turning into a ghost and was dieing.

The way I see it, he got thrown of of his home by his father. I'm just guessing.

Bleeding because he got shot twice, which is quite painful, I would imagine. >_@

Actually, he's not crying from being shot, that doesn't really bother him at all. He's been shot enough times that it really doesn't faze him.

There are some instances where a main character dies and it switches perspectives to another protagonist. It's not often but I've seen it done in a few books. Video games are notorious for this as well.

I think the tears are a good touch. It's barely even mentioned, but i'm sure with what happened after chapter 5, he would be crying like mad, it makes a lot of sense.

Though I think the wounds would have looked better if there was some sort of hole in his skin, though I guess that would be getting into gore territory. As it is, it's kinda hard to tell that they are bullet wounds, especially the one on his lower abdomen. It looks more like a knife cut. :/

Lastly...i'm confused about how the door is set up. I'm assuming it closes all the way to the left here? If so, what's the black pillar for?

The "black pillar" is a hole in the wall that the door slides into for a better seal.

The knife-like wound in his side was from the gunshot that grazed him, rather than penetrating any particularly vital (i.e. story-ending) organs. :)

I also liked the expression. Really captures an epiphany tampered by grief.

That is pretty much how I pictured the scene exactly. Though less grass in my mind, looks better this way.

I love the emotion shown, it means even more if you've read the story and know what has happened up to this point.

Though I thought the hole in the wall was a pillar aswell, I just looked at it wrong. It's not the first time i've done it and then I slap myself after I realize how stupid it was for me to have seen it any other way. Though the I didn't notice the opacity thing till it was mentioned, it kinda sticks out like a sore thumb when you do see it.
